Duns deflated Posted on February 5, 2011 by Alan Dundela returned from Castledawson disappointed with a scoreless draw against ten man Wakehurst. The away side were making all the early running but to no avail, even the sending off of the the home sides Paul for a terrible two footed challenge on Michael Jones did not have enough of an effect. HT 0-0
The second half was a repeat of the first with the Duns pressing and the home side proving resolute in defence. Dundela thought they had made the breakthrough when Glen Upton’s shot seemed to be heading for the top corner only for the home keeper to make a fantastic one handed save. As the game wore on it was evident that it was going to be one of those days. Chance after chance was created but none finished off, how the Duns missed the killer instinct of ace marskman McCracken missing today through injury. FT 0-0.

Duns to the four. Posted on March 13, 2011 by Alan In an amazing start to the game against Chimney Corner Dundela found themselves 3 nil up after only 9 minutes and hadn’t scored a goal, as bizarrely Corner conceded three own goals. The strangest of all being the second when the home keeper completely mis kicked a clearance, the ball slicing of his foot and into the goal. HT 0-3
The second half really should have been a formality for the Duns but it did not turn out that way as the home side hit back with two goals to unsettle them somewhat. Dundela seemed intent on making the remainder of the game uncomfortable as chance after chance was missed.
With ten minutes of the game remaining up popped defender Martin Young with the goal to finish Corner off.FT 2-4
Dundela Sergeant, Walker, Murphy, Alexander, Young, Gourley(C), Lenaghan, Gilliland, Upton, Roy, Hill. Subs Chalmers, McCracken(Roy62), Dunlop(Gourley61), Campbell(Alexander70).

March 27th, 2011 Dundela’s winning run came to an abrupt end at the hands of Queens University in a disappointing performance.
All seemed promising when Stephen Gourley fired the home side in front on three minutes. Unfortunately the lead was short lived when Lavery struck for the students seven minutes later, indeed it could have been worse but for some last gasp defending by last weeks hero David Murphy and a superb save by Johnny Sergeant in the home goal. HT 1-1
The second half started poorly for The Duns when they were undone by a long ball and Lavery nipped in to score his second of the game.
As the game progressed Dundela were becoming increasingly frustrated by Queens spoiling tactics and things got worse when a misplaced pass let in Mulholland who beat Sergeant with a well struck shot.
The Duns got back in to the game soon after when Kyle Alexander’s shot just crossed the line much to the anger of keeper Duff.
Dundela were now pressing for an equalizer but failed to breach the Queens defence, and in the dying moments Dundela’s Russell who had just came on and Queens Harper were both sent off after a coming together. FT 2-3
